Nardoo | Longlands
Nardoo is 38 km north of Cunnamulla and 160 km south of Charleville on the Matilda Highway.
Nardoo is situated in the highly regarded heavy carrying Blue Ribbon black soil country in the Cunnamulla district.
Predominately black soil flood plains of the Warrego River via the Widgeegoara and Kudnapper Creeks, dispersed with some sand ridges and quality red soils. Grasses are mainly Mitchell, Flinders, Blue, Button and Buffel grasses with good seasonal coverage of winter herbages.
Three bores water Nardoo via open bore drains, with average rainfall at 370 mm.
Carrying capacity is 17,000 sheep (11000 breeding ewes) with 2500 head of cattle (1200 breeding cows).
